Each day you use Anki, another 20 cards will be introduced, and the reviews will start to add up - if you're adding 20 new cards each day, you can expect the daily reviews in the early stages to build up to around 200 cards/day. The reason for this limit is because those cards will need to be reviewed in the coming days - such as the next day, and then a few days after, and so on. While Anki does have tools to bypass the regular scheduling for things like upcoming tests, they take some time to learn how to use, and they are awkward to use on a daily basis. If you have a test due in a few days, it's probably not the best time to be starting with Anki. Please keep an open mind, and try it for a few weeks before you decide which approach is best for you. There's just one problem with this approach - it's not terribly effective! Studies have shown that you can achieve better results by adding a delay between each review of an item, instead of reviewing it multiple times in a short period. Repeatedly reviewing material in this way - 'cramming' - tends to be what we're used to, and for many people it feels like the natural way to study.

In a conventional flashcard program, you see the same set of cards over and over again, and decide when you want to stop. To do this, it operates differently to a traditional flashcard program. Once the initial one way sync is completed, Anki will be able to merge changes from multiple locations with a few exceptions.Anki was designed to help you remember large amounts of material for a long time. If you have different cards on both devices, more work is required to avoid losing data. If you have cards on AnkiWeb from another device, and no cards on your computer, choose 'download' to replace the empty local collection with the cards that are on AnkiWeb. If you have cards on your computer and your AnkiWeb account is empty, choose 'upload' to send your data to AnkiWeb. When you synchronize your collection for the first time, Anki will ask you if you want to upload or download. You’ll be prompted for your AnkiWeb ID and password, which you created in the signup process. To start syncing your collection across devices, click the sync button (the top right one on the main screen), or press y on your keyboard. Users that routinely delete their posts once they receive an answer might be excluded from participating on the sub.
